I was on my way to pick a friend up from work yesterday where I nearly was almost hit by some idiot in a hugh pick-up truck! I was driving down this road, coming up a light, that turned yellow, so I started to slow down and came to a stop right after the light turned red. This @$%&ing moron in a black pick up forced me to go under the light, past the line because he didn't want to slow down and almost hit me! He they yelled out his window, something obscene. I understand someones in a hurry, but I'm not blowing a red light. What the hell is wrong with people? Red means stop, Yellow means SLOW DOWN, not go faster. If I was close to the light right as it turned yellow, then yes I would have sped up, but unless I really stepped on it, there was no way for me to make that light legally. What the hell are people thinking. I drive a small station wagon. Down to the ground. I'm not a speed demon and nor do I run stop signs or red lights. Sorry I'm just sick of bad drivers!

oh BELIEVE me...i live in Queens..i deal with impatient crazy people/drivers every day..it's terrible because that's how people get into bad accidents... and then they have the audacity to yell at YOU..

I live in queens too and completely understand what you're talking about. People in queens believe that left turns have the right of way, yellow lights mean speed up, stop signs really mean yield, driveways are great places to park and the cars parked on the street are speed bumps so you don't hit any trees on your way up the sidewalk. Gotta love it.

I would not own car if I lived in Queens. I know what you mean about the drivers there too. I try to be a courteous driver, nice and fair, not up someones @ss thinking it'll make them go faster.

DH and I always talk about what bad drivers there are out there nowadays. And its not so much bad, its that they just dont care about whats going on around them anymore. There have been accidents everywhere, the other day right here in Astoria DH saw a car run a light, hit two other cars, and become ariborne before it crashed into a pole and blew up right next to a gas station. There was also another accident by my house which is pretty suburban. Everyone is in an effin rush to go nowhere thats the sad part.

UUGHHHH I am happy that you are ok. I hate the fact that the people with the huge cars always act like the road is theirs. As far as Queens I waited 45minutes to find parking yesterday. I wish my car had a button that it would fold into the alarm. Kindup like a blow up car

Like the jetsons car that folded into a suitcase! HA I always wish that. Luckily where I live is no hassle with parking. But most neighborhoods in Queens suuuuuuuuuck with parking.

I never drive anymore cus I get so freaked out here! I used to love driving but then after I moved here, it started scaring me. Now when im in the car with DH im like gripping the side of me seat sometimes cus people are friken crazy!!! I don't understand how I never see cops pulling them over- but I guess its cus they get lucky! But I mis driving! i am hoping we can move somewhere so I can drive again. LOL.
