Went to the one in the city on W48th street during my lunch break... I was nervous b/c I lost my original card YEARS ago. It took all of 20 mins waiting online and handing in the form I printed up on-line, handing them my passport and marriage license and done. Guess it is official now! The new name.... still signing the old one though by mistake! I Just wanted to post b/c I know I was nervous about going, heard all horror stories, and it wasn't bad at all!

I am so glad you said it only took 20 mins in the city. I have been treading going thinking I will be online for hours. What time did you go...someone told me go at 11:30 right before the lunch rush!

I got there around 1230. 1130 sounds like a good time to go. While I was on line, one of the persons just up and took their lunch break, and there was no one to fill in for them. They didn't take the license, they handed it right back to me. Don't even think he took a copy, he just looked at it. Good luck!

I went on Long Island during lunch and it was a bit of a nightmare. They had 2 people working the counter, the line was ridiculously long, and one of the workers just decided to get up and take a break!
When I finally got up there, they took my SS # and just looked at my driver's license and my marriage license. they didn't make a copy.

I can't download those forms. I'll have to pick one up from Social Security when I get a chance. Are the froms really long or is it something I could fill out fairly quickly?

I don't know when I'll get a chance to go. They have horrible hours so I'll either have to get to work really late one day or take a day off to go.

It was on 48th Street between Bdwy and 8th.... on the right hand side of the block, when you walk towards 8th.... don't remember the exact # but it is available on the website!
