We finally got our armoire this weekend- thank god. I was able to put away all of John's clothes instead of them laying in a heap in the corner. For being in the new place for a month, it's starting to shape up. Got the armoire from Gothic Cabinet Craft.. it was about $150 more than the Ikea armoires but well worth it- solid construction and the drawers can actually hold a few pairs of pants without the bottom falling out!

www.gothiccabinetgraft.com I think... but they can do custom stuff.. like I saw the body of one armoire that I wanted but they changed doors, hardware, added molding, etc.

it's either finished or unfinished. We bought unfinished b/c they wanted like another $100 for finishing it.. we are just gonna get some clear laquere from my Dad and do it ourselves.. no biggy.

Congratulations. Its great to have that its all coming together feeling.
We have a few shelving pieces and one dresser from Gothic Cabinet and they are great. Definately worth the extra $$ over Ikea.

Do you know if they give you options in the finish they put on it? I've been looking for a hutch to go with a Pottery Barn table I got, but all the wood in our kitchen is stained dark brown.
