We're moving in 2 weeks!
OK So here's the backstory (as a refresher).................
DH and I each own apartments, mine is in Queens, his is in Hewlett, about 20 min away (it's Long Isalnd though). Both of them are for sale and we're paying out the nose for 2 mortgages right now.
We originally planned to move to Hewlett (I've posted about this topic). DH did complete renovations on the apartment and it looks gorgeous.
We got an off on the apartment 3 weeks ago (I posted about it). Well once we reached a deal with the buyer, she disappeared . Kinda weird but not uncommon at all.
So then we decided to stay where we are (since we assumed the Hewlett place sold).
Well we decided yesterday to officially move to the Hewlett apt. Its bigger than mine (which we've been living in), and it's much more 'baby friendly' since it's a 2 bedroom.
We're lucky in that each place will have its own furniture (except for a wall unit) so it's not going to be a dramatic move or anything...we can actually move stuff in slowly And if the Hewlett place sells while we live there it won't be too much of a pain to move back into my apartment. The only stuff we're really going to have to pack is all the kitchen stuff.
But OOOMMMMGGGGG we're really moving!!! LOL
PS-moving to Hewlett is a better move for us-where we live now is so far away from all of our friends it's kind of a damper on our social life. So once we're on LI we have friends that live in that town or neighboring towns. It's exciting.
But HOLY SHIZ in 2 weeks we'll be living somewhere else!
Kinda crazy! New job and now new apartment.
