We're moving in the next 3 months

Since both DH and myself are selling 2 apartments at the same time (which is so fun ) we decided to move into his.

Here's the lowdown:

My place is in Rockaway Beach-we have Ocean Views in a brand new building. The main downsides are that 1) it's a 1 bedroom, and we have shower presents exploding out of the corner, and 2) it's still a 'developing area' so there's not much around....yet. Great investment, not necessarily family ready at this moment for us.

Why are we moving into his place? A few reasons like 1)his place is a 2 bedroom and has an extra 400 square feet , and 2) it's on LI (Hewlett) in a VERY safe neighborhood. And if we by chance have a or in the oven it's a great apartment for that.

We've been paying 2 mortgages the past 3 months and we figure if we're paying that much we might as well live in more space.

The downside? We're gonna have to sneak my dog in because no pets are allowed

PRAYYY that my apartment sells so we're not paying out the nose every month!!

Hey at least we know we can afford a house eventually.

Wow both apartments sound great!!! But it sounds as if his apt. wins because it has another room and I'd probably move into his place too. We have a small place and our stuff barely fits in our 1 bedroom apt.

How big is your dog?

I hope your other apt. sells for a reasonable price and you dont end up losing money!

Good Luck Jen and I hope your dog isn't noisy!

I sold mine much faster than anticipated...listed in May, accepted offer in July but we couldn't close until OCTOBER...so I was hemmoraging money as we got to wedding day...and HM. It was fantastic, lemme tell ya!

My friends live in a co-op in Hewlett and DH and I are there all the time! What a small world.

Jenny Good luck. Hewlett has some really nice areas. I have alot of friends from the harbor & woodmere. All gorgeous. Im happy u will finally be a LIer.
