What are the chances of this getting resolved? *UPDATE #2*

My AMAZING photographer sent my album, CD of images, and release form to me in the mail, and he gave me a tracking number. I've been checking it everyday, and today it said that the mail is 'dead mail' and can no longer be sent to me or returned to the sender--and it is being sent to a mail processing center.

I obviously e-mailed the photographer and business manager, but what are the chances of this actually working out? I'm so sad now .

UPDATE: Now I'm really miffed. I called my local post office, and they said that they got my package in yesterday. However, my address label was ripped off. To make matters worse, my photographer failed to put his return address on the package. WHAT. THE. HECK. Since he did not put a return address on it, it was mailed to a processing center in Georgia where they look for an address inside. If they don't find one, it stays there. If they do, great. However, they said it generally takes MONTHS to resolve this. I am pretty furious and left a professional-but-angry e-mail and voice message to the photography company. If they just wrote their return address on like any company generally does, this wouldn't have happened.




I'm hoping they will at least send me my CD of pictures and release in the meantime. I don't think that's too difficult.


UPDATE 2: I got a call from my photo company, and they were just as horrified as I was. They said they put their return address all over the envelope (on the tracking slip, left corner, and the back too), and they also insured everything. They are sending me the CD and release, and are working on tracking down the album. They are 100% fine with getting a new album out as soon as possible if that doesn't work out though. Woohoo for them still being wonderful . I was just worried I wouldn't get a final product!

If your photographer is anyone smart they would have insured that baby.

Unfortunately -- it's probably dead mail because it was lost or damaged substantially.

For your sake I hope 'lost' and magically turns up... SOON.



I hope your photographer is cooperative with you on this, I know it isn't their fault but... still...

can you call FedEx (or whoever is shipping it)? Maybe they have some advice or whatnot?

I can't imagine that they wouldn't get you another one, that would be so wrong. It's not your fault that snail mail sucks!

WOW... thats so nuts that they didnt leave a return address... hopefully they left some sort of air bill inside the package...

OMG, that is HORRIBLE! Your photographer needs to fix this, redo album and take a loss. If you ever get the original album back, fine, you have a second.

ETA: I just realized who your photographer was---my friend also used him and loved her pics but hated her album, they screwed up sizing of some of the pics so they were grainy, etc. She insisted they redo it for her and they are, because she was persistent. Tell them that it was their mistake and they need to make this right.

I am fine, don't worry! If I go into early labor, it won't be the photographer's fault. And I just went to the doctor today and had perfect blood pressure. No real worries about that! You are too sweet!
