I'm making Martha's apple crumb pie and a spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer.

My mom is cooking mostly everything, but she doesn't do desserts, so I am making a Pecan Pie & these White Chocolate Raspberry cookies - I got the mix for them in a jar for my bridal shower, so I thought I'd try them out!

I am making veggie sides and appetizers as my mom's doing the mains!
Edamame Dip for appetizers (SOOO good and healthy)
Brussel Sprouts with pine nuts and parmesan
Tunisian Beet Salad (spicy and yum!!)

we're having a 'turkey cook-off' among DH and his 2 brothers. DH is smoking a turkey, one BIL is deep frying a turkey, and the other BIL is cooking his traditional style.
I'm the queen of mashed potatoes. I'll be doing those, and might make potatoes au gratin as well.

I know a couple people that deep fry turkeys. It sounds so good!!!!!! I've never tried it,

i am hosting thanksgiving! DH and i 'hosted' last year, we had his mom over, but i didn't make the turkey and she brought some side dishes too. so this year my best friend and her fiance are coming over and DH and i are making the WHOLE dinner!! AHH!!!!
the one thing i am SUPER pumped about is making pop overs .. i got a pop over pan at my bridal shower and i have been DYING to use it!
