I don't like white either, and I definitely did not like the way the white albums in the studio looked after they are 'worn' so that was out.
We chose black, but we also upgraded our leather to a very soft Napa leather that is very much like Coach...it wears beautifully.
The matte around all the pics is ivory, with a black 'inner' border. The edges of the pages are gilded in gold. Our names are just embossed - not colored with gold or silver, but just stamped with our names and the wedding date. Very understated and simple.

I haven't seen the choices, but if they have a dark brown leather, I would like that, if not I would choose black.

I always assumed ivory at first, thinking black was too dark (IMO) for a wedding album. But then after speaking with DH and thinking of all those fingers forever touching the album, I gave in and we chose black. Plus, I think black inside pages look nicer with my many B&W prints.
Our lettering of name and date will be in silver.

We went with Ivory, which has an 1/8 inch gold border framing all the pictures, and I'm happy with how it looks with the color and the B&W photos.

I always knew it would have been black,the white/ivory colors did nothing for me and it reminded me of the albums you gave to your parents...even tho my mother's album is brown. Ours is black, the really soft leather, like Claud said...like a coach pocket book, the edges are silver, our name is in silver and the borders around the matting on our pix are silver. It screams elegant. I think you have to go with what suits you and your hubby.

Mine is black with gold lattering and edging. I originally wanted silver, but changed my mind when I saw that gold brought out the warmth in Pat's and my skin.

I want black. All the parents chose white or ivory. I never did do was 'I was supposed to do'. My family keeps insisting wedding albums must be white.

We got black with a small picture set into the front. I felt the same way about our b&w's looking better on a black page. The album is really different looking-it doesn't go with our living room at all, but I figured it will only be out for a short while anyway. Our parents got ivory.

I thought the ivory looked a little 'dingy' - we went with black, the actual album is burgundy colored with silver writing - and the pages are black.
