hey girls,
just got back from fortunoff to try to return some things that either we got duplicates of, or we just don't want.
they took back some stuff, but some wasn't from there, and (more annoyingly) some was from there, but was part of a 'bonus' feature with our china, so they won't take it back b/c technically it wasn't purchased. INFURIATING!
anyway, now we have a pretty nice size pile of things that we don't want & we don't know where they came from. some of it is good stuff, too, but we just have TOO MUCH!!!
i tried bed bath & beyond, b/c we registered there too. they took some things, but again, not all of it.
what can i do with this stuff?????!!!!

Maybe post some of the stuff and see if you can do a swap w/another bride for something you need vs. something they need? How about EBAY, garage sale, donate it for a tax write-off, etc.???

Well the holidays are coming up, maybe you can give them as gifts to other friends or family that might need them, or go to a organization for needy families that could use appliances etc.....

I sold shower gifts I didn't want/like on ebay.

Luckily I was able to return everything I didn't want except 2 candle holder things and a picture fram.

If you don't need the money from selling it, and it is something useful, donate it. Our Reverand told us that there are halfway houses that will take a lot of kitchen items ( also a good idea if ou have old ktichen things soyou are repalcign with gifts, or if you & DH have duplicated)

We are going to look into this, I don't know of any specific places yet.
