What did you do with your dress?

What did you do with your dress?

My dress is pretty filthy (it poured the day before the wedding, so there's mud all over the bottom of the train.)

I guess I should take it somewhere to get cleaned - but then what? Did you sell it? Keep it for a future daughter? I have no idea what to do with it!

I haven;t done anything but I am going to have it cleaned and preserved. I'm not ready to part with it as far as donating or selling it yet!!!

I'm thinking about getting it cleaned and preserved. I've heard of people using it to make their daughter's christening dresses. I think that would be so cool (but probably really expensive!).

Mine is at my parents house. I will eventually have a baby blanket made out of the material from the train.

I had it cleaned and preserved in a box. I would love to sell it to a potential buyer. With all these sample sales and trunk shows, it's a bit of a competition. For now, it's happily in my closet.

My mom put mine in the washing machine with Wool Light and my dress came out better looking then the day I went to wear it for the wedding. It works like magic DO NOT waste your money at the cleaners. After she washed it she hung it to dry and then she put it in a space bag. My mom even did my tool slip and that came out really good to.

I've done nothing with my dress. Its hanging the garment bag on my bedroom closet door (getting in our way) since the wedding. I want to donate it or something, I am really not into saving it.

Mines in my closet. I don't know if this helps. I picked a dress I could use for DH and my hobby, which is medievalism. So I've worn it a few times since my wedding day. My long cloak train is in a box somewhere. I don't want to cut it. I might save it for a special event, maybe when I renew my vows in many yrs down the road. I would want to do something like that.

Mine is still hanging in my closet. I've considered selling it, but I'm not sure how much I could really get for it. I kind of don't want to part with it though, so I guess it'll stay in the closet a while longer!

I haven't done anything with my dress yet..It's hangning in the garment bag.

Was thinking of using it to make a Christening outfit out of it when I have kids or if I have a daughter using the material to make a communion dress out of it. It's so beautiful!

I could never sell it, no offense ladies! I would want the dress to go to my future kids since the dress symbolizes both me and my Husband and our committment to each other on our wedding Day.
