What did you do with your veil?

Ok, so it has been 3 weeks and I havent taken my dress off my bedroom door cause I can't part with it just yet. But I am having it cleaned and preserved soon.
But what to do with the veil?????

Anyone have any suggestions?

You could have it preserved with the dress. Maybe sell it? I threw mine out. It had a rip in the back from everyone tugging when they said hello - nothing major but to me no point in keeping or repairing.

I am saving it for my daughters communion..if I have a daughter that is!!

I think I am keeping my veil and tierra, but I am donating my dress to the I DO FOUNDATION for brides who can't afford one. I have to do it soon, otherwise I will never be able to part with it................

I am preserving my gown, but leaving my veils for my sister ......WHEN she needs them !

I perserved mine with my dress but if one of my sisters want it, that's fine!!!

What's the going rate for preserving bridal gowns? Mine is hanging in my old bedroom and mom has just about had enough.

I got a price of $150 which seems to be the going rate.

I didn't know I could preserve my veil in the box with the dress!

Thanks Ladies! I am gonna inquire about it!

But I still can't part with it just yet! DH is like .....come on already, its in the way.........

he just doesn't get it!

My parents preserved it with my dress. I didnt want them too, I didnt even want them to preserve the dress, but they were afraid I would put it on again ( I did the day after the wedding). I wish they didnt put the veil in because I am making a shadow box and would've put it in there, but its too late now

Threw in it the garbage! It was ripped and I figured I had no idea what to do with it, so I just threw it away.

I put it in a box with my tiara. My sister wants to use it 'some day'....

On my wedding day, I accidentally ripped a tiny hole in it with my e-ring.

So, right now it's handing off my bed post.

I'm thinking of using it as part of a christening outfit for our kids.
