chicken broth.
definately agree.
I have tried a variety of things- spicy turkey sausage, apples & dried cranberries are my favorite but at a bare minimum always a sauteed onion and some celery

thanks everyone! One more question..... The extra things you add.. like the celery, peas, corn, etc... do you cook that separately from the stuffing mix & then mix it all together?

I usually saute the extra things in a little pam to soften and then add them when mixing in the stuffing

Re: What do you add to your Stove Top Stuffing?
I add crumbled sausage (taken out of the casing and browned), sauteed mushrooms, onion and a little celery. Add the sauteed blend to the hot water or broth, then add the dry ingredients as per the directions. I usually put the mixture into a buttered baking dish and bake in the oven until the top crisps up.
