aside from sleeping and , sometimes it feels like there just isnt time to 'talk'
DH has been working late hours, and we are both totally stressed with closing on our co-op, there are lots of family bdays/anniversaries coming which take some of our weekends away, then chores, and soon DH is going to have to study for a certification test which will take all his free time
idk. i just feel like there doesnt seem to be anytime to really talk
am i the only one? what do you do when this happens?

Schedule a date night. I find that always helps us when we start to lose touch. Just you and him, go out to dinner and maybe go bowling, mini-golf, or something fun like that.

agreed...cuddle night helps us too when it seems like we are always busy working, etc. kinda just lets us have one on one time

another thing is even going for walks...sometimes DH and I do walks like either early a.m. or in the evening. That way you get a chance to talk and spend time together...and you also get some exercise

Definitely - you have to just make time, and set boundaries - no talking about work, co-op, etc.

Say no to one or two of those family events. Life will go on without you at them and you will get to spend time with DH.

I agree with the other ladies, you have to make the time. Its easy to say there is no time, but there is a way to make time. Say no to something else. Its more important for you & your DH to spend time together then anything else. People will get over it.
In regards to going away with family, you can still find time to be together just you & DH. My DH & I go to my parents house upstate, NY & before we even go we pick a morning that we are going to go out for breakfast just the two of us. Yeah, my parents & nieces get mad that we aren't there but they eventually get over it. We feel its important for us to get time just us too.

Yep - date night (with no excuses to beg off) is always a good start.
We've also been crazy busy since we returned from our honeymoon last Fall. Because of my new job orientation, we missed celebrating our 1st anniversary in April. So this week we are on vacation @ a B&B for 3 nights in PA. It's been very relaxing and the food is amazing! Other than our unintentional 8.6mile hike this morning,we are recuperating and communicating. So maybe some time away might be an option.
(he's napping, that's why I'm sitting in a swing enjoying LIW!)

DH and I are going though a similar situation. It really sux. We try our best to make time but sometimes just having dinner together is an accomplishment.

It can be really hard... DH and I are away from each other 4 nights a week and the weekends are always so busy. But I make time when we are together count... as simple as a car ride or laying in bed even if its late and we both want to go to sleep... I make sure we talk.

been going through this too...and you would think it's cuz of girls..nope ..it's his job..even the girls tell me they miss their Daddy.
It just happens.
But I agree, try not to talk too much about the stresses...as much as you want too...cuz they get turned off and see it as nagging. Smile and say let's go out..or I am taking you out.
