What do you eat when you are sick to make you better????
Im sick and Im trying to eat good things to make me well. I am such a bad sick person I have been eating pasta with garlic and oil but what else can I eat to make me better???

pastina - with egg or broth bread in milk ( dont know what it is called really but the inside of italian bread mushed into warm milk rice with broth

i love meatball soup, it clears me right up
it takes long to make though lol but how about chicken soup.

last week when i felt a cold coming on i asked DH to pick up some meat tortellini and I made them just using chicken bouillon - it was SO easy and quick. no way do i have time to make real chicken soup.

lots of tea also. My bro in law once made me tea and put OJ and honey in it. It is AWESOME and so comforting esp if you have a sore throat. I have it all the time now if i'm sick.

How interesting!!! do you put the oj in after its boiled?? Sorry if thats a dumb question I have never heard of this. Also what kind of tea?

any kind of tea really - i would do it at work and either use regular lipton or the orange spice by celestial seasonings. I also put the OJ in at room temperature (it's not in the fridge at work) into the hot tea, but I've nuked it before too just in case it's cold, so it doesn't make the tea cold. Lots of honey too!

you can ask him to just pick you up some chicken soup from somewhere. Does he work in the city? if he works by the bread factory they have AWESOME chicken soup, its so good

I am not a soup person so I try to eat crackers and OJ. DH forces me to drink tea which I hate but it gets the job done.

I suck on a lemon if I have a soar throat and it helps, tea with lemon and honey, Chicken soup is always good You should eat light, pasta might be a little too heavy now

Where is the bread factory, we live in the city
theres one on lexington between 61st and 62nd, one on 7th ave and 35th street and 43st and 9th ave.

Honestly the last times i was sick, i would get stouffers mac and cheese, they have it at cvs in the frozen section
Soooo good.
i sometimes get it when im feeling down and it alwaysmakes me feel so much better
