Hi guys My friend just gave birth last week and 2 days later the baby had to have heart surgery. They knew this after only being pregnant for a couiple months. I want to send something for the little guy but I dont want to send flowers. Any ideas????

How about an edible arrangement? Or a basket of cookies and cakes? Also, I'd send a little teddy bear for the baby.

something cute for the baby and then maybe a basket of diapers etc...alot of web sites do this

This is what I would do-a fruit basket bc Im sure they arent leaving the house too much...and something for the baby

Thanks for your ideas, Im not really into the edible arrangment only because I got a moldy piece one time and I think its like a mind block. I guess I could replace it with cookies? I really appreciate your help!

i would send a small food basket, as i am sure the parents will enjoy its contents while in the hospital

I would find out what restaraunts are nearby the hospital and get a gift certificate to a restaraunt so mom and dad can take a break and get some dinner and still be nearby the hospital.
Also, if you are sending something to the hospital make abasket with stuff like deoderant, toothbrushes, tooth paste, mouth wash etc for the parents who are probably at the hospital day and night. When my friend had her baby premature back fall this is what I did and she called me crying because she hadn't been able to brush her teeth and freshen up in days and she said that was the best gift
