Whats the best product to use when washing hardwood floors?
Has anyone ever washed their floors with vinegar? I heard its really good at killing bacteria and its non-toxic.

Re: What do you use to clean your floors?
My dad refinishes hardwood floors for a living. HE says not to use any cleaning products on the floor, just sweep and damp mop (this is for real wood floors, not pergo etc) THe chemicals in cleaning fluids leave a build up on teh floors that take away teh sheen and color and will make you have to refinish them more often.
If you spill something cleanin it up with mild dish soap and warm water, make sure you get all the soap off and it doesn't get to saturated.
Vinegar is actually harsh enough that over time will bleach your floors!

The Swiffer Wet Jet. You push a button and the cleaning solution shoots out and there's a pad-- looks like a giant maxi-- that you clean the floor with and you throw it away when you're done. And the cleaner is safe for wood floors.
