I know this shouldn't bother me but it does. DH works TOO much. The second someone asks something of him he jumps to it right away and he'll work on something for hours. It'll be 3 a.m and he'll still be up figuring out a model or whatever he does, I'm not sure what he does! He works late on weekdays and when he finally comes home we'll have dinner together and then he'll go right back to work. It drives me nuts.

I finally fixed this problem...I tried and tried to get him to put water in (we dont' have a dishwasher) the dishes when he put them in the sink, sometimes he would, sometimes he wouldn't and i ALWAYS washed the dishes, so I finally made him wash all the dishes AND anytime there was even a tiny spec of anything on the dish after he washed them, I'd put them back in the sink and say that the stuff must be dried on from not putting water in.
Don't you know he learned and now puts water in the dishes AND he still washes the dishes!
you are VERY lucky. we no longer have a dishwasher, and victor's least favorite chore (besides kitty litter) is washing dishes. it's going to be a LONG 3 months.

-leaves all garbage around it...not in it. Same goes for the sink. -doesnt know where anything is (i moved into his place) I asked him to get me something out of the linen closet and he goes in the kitchen and opens a cabinet in there and askes me where it is. -everything I ask him to do his response it, sure I'll do it later...never gets done until at least a few weeks later..that is why I take the garbage out.

He is a pack rat - terrible , collects everything, and can't throw anything away SO annoying
He clicks his teeth sometimes when he chews - i am not explaining it right , but it is annoying
He can never sit in silence , there always has to be a tv, or radio , or video game on ,or talking . Never a quiet moment with him unless he is asleep

can i just make a suggestion to some of you ladies, and hope you don't get mad bc its not meant in a bad way but maybe to help you. See i am a person that if somebody tells me to do something RIGHT NOW, i wont do it purposely right then and there just bc they told me i HAVE to do it right then and there, i'll wait until i am ready to do it now or purposely just wait some time to do it. I just don't like to be told what to do so i dont jump when asked. Depends on how its asked of course, if someone says 'oh can you do me a favor and get me this or do this' then its fine. But if someone says 'can you do this and they have even a little bit of an attitude' i say no i cant now you have to wait lol. And if its something small then even more so bc to me i will say 'you are willing to ruin the time we are hanging out right now for something so small' This doesn't happen often bc I am not really told what to do, but in the past i had problems with this and did it alot.
I know its annoying, but i think many times they are not doing what they were asked just bc well they were asked lol. They like to do it on their own terms lol. Kinda have to use reverse psychology with them.

he's a slob! He doesn't throw things out..including garbage..he leaves it on the counter!!!!!!! I can't stand it

At least he uses a towel. I am convinced DH dries off shaggy dog style. When he gets out of the shower every inch of the bathroom is soaking wet.

- he is extremely impatient about EVERYTHING
- when he puts dishes in the sink, he never puts water on them
- he pulls the cat's tail
- keeps drawers and cabinets open
- only since we moved into his parents' basement, he had forgotten how to put the toilet seat down
Pulling the cat's tail is illegal!!!!!!
One thing that comes to mind is his sinuses...I know he can't help it but he snorts instead of blowing his nose and I hate that sound...it really irks me to no end!!!! I was so excited when he went to the ENT doctor but he won't take anything for it..... Another thing is that he loves to watch the news...and I try to avoid the news because I get so depressed and mad watching it, esp before bed. Before I got married I watched it about once a week or less....enough to keep myself informed but not enough to upset myself.

OMG that is annoying. My dh also leaves the bathroom so wet, and when he uses the sink theres water everywhere. Its funny bc he is SOOOO OCD about certain things but then the things that bother me he is not OCD about. Which works out in a weird way bc he does the things he is OCD about and all the other things he is not i am so i get those things done lol. And DH uses a towel but it drives me nuts that he barely dries himself off and he puts clothes on while he still damp, i CANT do that. I have to be completely dry before putting clothes on and he likes still being somewhat wet which is so weird to me

he farts WAAAAY too much...and if it he does it in the bed one more time I'm seriously going to strangle him...it's so gross!!!

Oh my DH loves to move stuff around. He moves things and when I go look for it, I can't find it! It drives me insane.
And I cannot stand when I come home to him eating pasta or whatever he makes RIGHT OUT OF THE POT! I haatttte that!

He puts his dirty dishes in the sink instead of the dishwasher
If I didn't put his clean clothes folded on the bed, he would leave them in his hamper and just throw his dirty clothes on the floor in the closet!

where do I start? there's a list of things!
-doesn't change the roll of toilet paper after it's finished -same with paper towels -leaves puddles of water all over the sink after washing his hands -leaves the toilet seat up -keeps the house cold (sometimes turns off the heat at night and I wake up freezing!) -puts dirty stuff in the sink after I just finished cleaning it out (hello, we have a dishwasher!) -doesn't fold his clothes, he just leaves them in a pile after bringing up the laundry, right next to the pile of dirty clothes -is a really picky eater (i.e., I need to buy a particular bread or peanut butter for him)
I can go on but you get the picture...I'm sure he has his own list about me though ;)

He always says 'We'll See' for the simplest things.
Like I will ask him if we can get chinese take out and he says 'We'll See' he can never say yes or no - plus, it sounds like he is my dad when he says that so I always respond with 'if i finish all my chores and I am a good girl????' LOL

When we moved in together, I told him I didn't mind doing most of the cleaning, all the cooking and the laundry... the one thing I asked him to take care of is the garbage. Now, when I ask him to, he'll take the bag out and bring it into the garage. BUT he never empties any of the cans from the bathrooms which drives me NUTS! It will be overflowing with stuff (which I let happen purposely to see if he'll empty it... he doesn't) and he still leaves it. I end up doing it myself.
The other thing is that when he clears the table after dinner (yes, he does do that) he just leaves all the dishes on the counter, and puts the pots/pans in the sink. Doesn't soak them, doesn't put anything in the dishwasher. I tell him... this doesn't help me! But it just doesn't seem to sink in. BOYS!!!!!!

Some of these posts are too funny!
My DH isnt terrible, thank goodness! The worst things he does is the whole dirty dishes in the sink without water thing... but what's worse, he will leave cups and bowls down in the basement (his den of iniquity as he calls it LOL) for days and days! When he finally puts them in the sink, he knows I won't touch them, he MUST wash them LOL!
The other thing is when he shaves, his hair clumps are all over the sink! And when I try to wash them down the drain, they are stuck b/c he didn't do it when he shaved! Grrr!
ETA: Oh yeah, and our kitchen table looks like any other horizontal storage space! And it's all his stuff! I finally moved it all to a little corner of the table and told him he must go thru everything ASAP! I am anal about this especially b/c my parents' house has clutter on every available horizontal surface and I vowed when I had my own home it would never look like that!!!
