What is a Dutch Oven?

And can I use another pot in its place? A couple of recipes I want to make call for one.

LOL - I'm so glad I'm not alone, I was going to say it's when your husband farts and holds the covers over your head so you can smell it better ! He's so romantic, can you tell why I married him ?
