What is a good product to protect hair from hair straightening?

I can't help you Millie....I've made peace with my curly mop...only time I want it straight is post hair cut or if I have a fancy engagement like the 2 upcoming wedding we have.

Hey Millie, my hair is super curly too. When it's straight I use the Chi as well so to protect I start with Potion 9 (Sebastian) then blow dry. I then flat iron some pieces, depending on how much I've blown it straight. To finish it I use Biosilk silk therapy or CHI Silk Infusion or Biosilk's Shine on spray . All of these I would encourage that you use lightly as too much could oil you down a lot. I find the more you blow dry the less you flat iron and vice versa.
I suggest try these and see, but everyone's hair is so different that you have to play around. I've used a lot of stuff and these seem to be the best.
Also if you want to embrace the curl I HIGHLY suggest Aveda Be Curly.

Chi actually makes a spray to spray on first....i'll look later and post the name of it...but it's great!

I use the CHI silk unfusion. It works pretty well. I leave it in sometimes wven when not straightenign and tames my frizzies into waves.

You should stop by a nice salon and ask for a suggestion. There are a lot of products, but they could prolly tell you the best one for your hair type.
