I was just wondering what everyone was planning. We are having our first official party at our apartment. We have never had friends over since we moved in close to 2 yrs ago due to renovations. Now that we have the big screen we are ready. I am excited!!! My friends really dont watch football but I will be cooking so much food and with the commercials they should be entertained, LOL!!!

I've been going to a party at my friends' family's house for like the last 10 years... but this is the first year they're not having it!
We'll probably have people over at our house since we've had everyone over 3 weeks in a row for the Jets games... somehow we managed to cram 12 people into our living room (even though like 3 people were sitting on dining room chairs.)

Probably going to my sisters house- her husband is all over football season and superbowl- I think it runs in his veins.. anywho... pretty low key... food, drink, food, drink and fun.

As of now nothing... hoping our friend will be hosting a party. We don't have a big enough TV or a lot of football loving friends. Neither of us are that into football so we don't have a regular crowd to watch with.
DH watches football but he grew up with it being the center of his world, his father held football higher then anything and since his brothers both playing D1 ball, and he was way to skinny to be a football player, he kind of has a resentment towards the game.
We could always go to NJ, sure his brothers are doing something we could join in on.

The one year I convinced DH to go elsewhere - my mom's house - for the SuperBowl, it was the year HIS team - the Giants - were in. It was also the year that my mom's house lost power during the FINAL PLAY OF THE GAME, so that DH FREAKED OUT and had to call all of his friends to see what happened. He didn't believe the Giants won until he got home and downloaded the entire game and watched the last play. He still has not deleted it.
So ... DH will never leave the comfort of his own home ever again for the SuperBowl. We'll be home on our couch like we are every Sunday.

Having our first superbowl party at our casa! But worrried bc theres going to be like 20 of us there... The couch only seats 6 and we have 6 dining room chairs... lol so there will be a sea of people sitting on the floor! LOL
