What is one gift that you wanted as a child and never received.

I always wanted Barbie's Town House. My friend had and I was so jealous.

When I was 10 my brother got me the Barbie motor home which made me pretty happy.

Barbies, barbie clothes, barbie car - it was all about Barbie. I got some of the stuff...but not everything.

I didn't think that I had anything to list here until I saw the words 'Barbie Dream House.' My best friend had one too and I loooooooved it...I must have blocked it out

Chemistry set - I think my parents thought I'd blow up the house they did get me a microscope set though, no danger chemical there I guess.

I always wanted a video game system but my parents never let me have one - they thought it would interfere with my schoolwork

I managed to get ok at Tetris by playing on friends' Gameboys but to this day, at the age of 27, I still die on the first board of Super Mario every. single. time. I am a loser.

The Easy Bake Oven and a nameplate necklace. I swear I asked for the necklace for like 5 years straight and finally gave up!

A battery operated doll, you fed her, gave her water and she pooped it out. My mom wouldn't let me have one because she said the doll would get bugs inside it.
In retrospect, that is kind of gross, a doll that poops.

I got a Tiny Tears doll instead. She got water and then cried and peed. Still have her......she's about 34 years old.

LMAO I had Baby Alive!!!! But I had the original ghetto one -snickers- You had to manually make her eat; there was a lever on her back. It was a task for two I tell ya! You had to put har in her highchair, spoon the goop into her mouth then reach around and with two hands (little fingers remember) move the lever down then up to make her lips move. Only you couldnt WATCH her eat (the fun part) because you were concentrating so hard on the dang lever!!!!

My doll ended up drooling a lot lmao cause I just shoved all the food in there and didn't bother with the lever cause it hurt my hands. I preffered making ehr drink in the bathtub cause then if you took off her diaper you could watch her 'pee' into the bath water but it didn't make it yellow!

That was like the coolest thing ever for a kid. I don't know WHERE that doll is now. Probably in a dumpsite somewhere peeing and drooling

Maybe the doll I was reminiscing about was the doll with the lever.... I was born in the 60's, and the doll came out in the early 70's. Can't imagine that battery operated dolls came into being that early.
I know that in later years someone tried to ressurect Baby Alive, but she just faded out. That
one must have been the battery operated one.

The best part about playing with dolls that peed - they could get wet and we were able to take them into the bathtub, the pool.

Same here Then we got a puppy randomly one summer when we were all older.

But as a kid you see those commercials with the puppy as a gift with a big bow around it's neck for Christmas
