What is the best compliment you have received since you got married?

Yesterday Dh and I ran into our very good friend who was in our wedding. We have not seen him in a while.

He commented on how happy and good DH looked, and said it is because of me.

He said, see Kysh, I knew you would make a good wife.

I was soo happy to hear that.

I guess right now, my best compliment is one I got just yesterday!!

I saw friends of my parents who were at the wedding yesterday, the husband said to me 'WOW, all I have to say is the band you had was UNBELIEVABLE'... being we had two and I was VERY upset over band issues after my wedding (I won't get into details since it's over and done with), I said 'which one?' He said well the main one! I was like WHEW! I was sooo happy to hear that!!!

Just to add - I had NO problems with my band, it was just certain things that came along with having a Croatian and American band together.

Roger told me recently that I make marriage wonderful and if he had a crystal ball he would do it all over again.

People are always saying I'm glowing and what not, but the one above is my ultimate favorite, at least he does not feel like he is on a ball and chain

I have to say that my best compliment has come from Dh, he has called me his 'beautiful wife' every day! It makes me feel so happy, plus he tells everyone we just got married, I mean EVERYONE, people at the store, everyone!

THat's what I call a proud man When Roger sees me for the first time when I come home, he says, hello my beautiful flower or my beautiful Jamaican Queen I blush all the time

Actually my post was referring to a compliment you received based on an observation from someone.

It could be your DH or friend/family etc.

My Husband says he loves being married and he is VERY happy!!!!

I think the best compliment, which we've gotten from a few people, is something along the lines of how they just know DH and I were meant to be together, and they could tell from just about day one, and that they can tell that we'll always be happy together.

The other day DH said to me, 'you make me happy everyday'. Which is so sweet of him, espeically b/c he doesn't usually say things like this.

When we were watching our wedding video, our BM and MOH were watching DH and I during our first dance together and both were crying-I told my MOH how I thought it was so sweet, and she told me they crying because DH and I were so in love, and so perfect for each other, and they were so happy we were finally married after all we have gone throguh to get to that moment. It was so great to hear that, from someone who knows us so well and sees how amazingly happy we are together.

Edited to add- From my hubby, the best compliment is when he tells me I am his best friend. I love that, it makes me smile just thinking about it

Either your friends are much nicer than my friends OR people are so used to us being together that no one even thinks about us being married.

If someone said anything about our marriage, I would practically fall over b/c nothing has changed since we were dating.

Honestly, when I say nothing has changed..i really mean it. He is sweet as always...but it has nothing to do with being married.

Hmmm...so lets see. Compliments? Again, nothing to do with being married but he is really impressed with some of the stuff I do on the computer. Of course he pays me all the normal compliments, etc.. But when he says something different like he likes some project I did or whatever, that makes me happy.

Oh yea, he still talks about our wedding being the best day ever...which is so UNLIKE him. So thats a big compliment and validation for all the planning.

DH told me he can't wait to marry me again in Aruba!

DH's staff said he looks so happy and content

DH's superior told me I made a good man a great man

See I knew you would find something. It didn't have anything to do with being married, just anything that he has said lately. I know how nice it must feel when your special person acknowledges something that you have done.

And just the other night on the way to dinner (Valentines) , we were discussing 'us' and all that we are going through together, i.e., moving back home to save more money for a house, having an awesome little 2 year old girl, me going back to work part time, and he said that we make an amazing team, that he could never imagine being in love or being married to anyone but me (hope so), and that I'm his best friend in the whole world.

What's nice is that the time was taken, when we were alone (which is very rare) for him to say that.

I'm jealous of the actual newlyweds on here b/c everything is still so new. After being married for almost 6 years, sometimes you get so wrapped up in day to day life that you forget to say things (except of course I love you). So for all of you newlyweds...don't ever lose it. Try to stay in the moment forever. Don't fall off track with eachother.
