Just wondering what it is and why it books up...when should you book it for October HM?

It's very popular because they say it's the most authentic luau on Maui. We were there in October and couldn't get in. They were booked up for months. We went to a nice one at the Hyatt, where we stayed, but people said it didn't compare.

I went to that Luau, supposedly it's the best on the island. I loved it! However, this was the only one I went to, so I have no comparison.
It was fantastic, and worth it. If you can book it, go for it.
It's outside, behind the dancers is the beach and water...I remember it being wonderful.

I wanted to go and I didn't book reservations in advance. So I called when I got there and they booked up until the next month. But they did say to call back the next day (and I did) to see if there were any cancellations and there was - that's how we got to go.
