I know this sounds extremely HARSH, but my cousin always says she has the best in-laws!! THEY'RE DEAD! I know that was CRUEL- BAD MARIE!!

So many. But I have to say I would change the fact that her phone is able to make out going calls. I would make it so it only gets incoming call. That way she could not call us every 5 mins.!!!!!!!!!

I HEAR THAT!!! She calls a MILLION times a day!! And if DH doesn't answer she'll leave the most insane m,essages such as:
1-800-F*CK YOU or 1-800-U-S*CK!! The woman is CRAZY!!!!!!

oh no she didn't!!!!! I can't believe she would do that!!!!! that's just insane!! she usually resorts to calling DH's cell if we don't pick up the phone......we live two blocks away from her, so she actually DRIVES by if we don't pick up (she actually goes to my back window and says 'hellooooooo are you guys home?????' she scares the sh*t out of me when she does that!!! it makes me feel like I have a peeping tom!!

Youe MIL sounds worse than mine!!! What is with these CRAZY ladies!!!! I'd kill her if she ever peeked in our windows!! Luckily she lives 30 minutes away!! But she still manages to be the biggest PITA!!! I still can't believe she drives buy and peeks in!! YOU NEED TO MOVE!!!!

OMG!! tell me about it!! but we've done a bunch of work to our house, so we're not going anywhere for a while! and guess what, she doesn't just PEEK in, she WALKS in.......the first time I left the door unlocked I got a surprise visit from her IN MY KITCHEN!! I'm standing over my stove and she doesn't say anything til she's behind me, again scaring the crap out of me........and then she stands there and proceeds to TASTE my food OVER my stove!!! gross! I don't even do that! put it on a plate woman! then another time I'm down in the basement putting clothes up for the wash, I hear footsteps upstairs, and freak out b/c DH was at work at the time.......so I'm running up the stairs and then I hear the unmistakable voice 'hello????....Helen???'....and I'm like 'is there something wrong????.....I was doing laundry?' my god, why is everything an emergency with her!!!!!!! sorry for the vent, but I guess you can see I have my hands full! oh and btw, I lock the doors now (b/c when I complained to DH about her waltzing in, I was told, 'well your sister walks right in' I tried to tell him its different, but he just wasn't getting it!!

I love my MIL to pieces, she is a great person. She offers her opinion when asked and doesn't call 20 times a day and sometimes she'll call just to say she loves us. The one thing I would change is move her back to New York, since she lives in Florida.

Wow - it sounds like we have the same MIL...sometimes she'll call us and leave a message saying 'call back it an emergency' of course we will call back but when we finally talk she''l say 'oh I just need to know if you guys are coming this week-end'..huh this is your emergency?

Absolutely nothing. Why you ask? Because we're not talking since the wedding and my life has been so much more peaceful because of it! She's so crazy. Little miss 'Jennifer's family got served before me at the wedding. You didn't sit at my table and talk to me. Her Mom made nasty comments to me (which by the way, were my Mom giving her suggestions to get a stain off of her dress at the wedding ). My mother planned my wedding and I should have planned yours. I'm disgusted with the wedding. I'm getting migraines and have to get an MRI and it's your fault because of this wedding.' Yeah, the list goes on and on. And I always wondered why my brother in law and his wife stopped talking to her. DUH!

Oh yeah, I have one of those, too... and my DH has NOT mastered the ability to end a conversation with her. He'll just let her talk. I swear, we only have an hour and a half awake together when we get home from work -- if she calls, she takes up more than an hour of it. I CAN'T STAND IT. He's started calling her from the train on t he way home b/c if she calls us at home, we'll never even get to eat dinner.

oh no, that is bad... my favorites are when we are getting in the car to go somewhere (and he's driving), and we have to sit in the car for 20 minutes because she calls and he can't get off the phone with her. the other day it was so bad he actually just held up the phone in between us and sat there rolling his eyes! um, if you know she's going to do this then WHY DO YOU ANSER THE PHONE??!!

I can only choose ONE thing???


My MIL was nice before I REALLY got to know her--then I found out she's insane and that was one of the main reasons why FIL divorced her years ago.

If you find out an answer to this question, let me know. I wouldn't answer the phone in these instances. Oh, my other favorite is when she calls at 10pm at night when we're about to go to bed. I can't complain - she RARELY calls. If he calls once a week or once every other week to say hi, that satisfies them... but when she does call, she'll call at BED TIME. Sorry. We get up for work at 5:30am. We aren't retired and can't sleep in until 9. Call before 8 or tomorrow.

OMG if my MIL called that late i would kill her. not that i am in bed that early but that is my time with DH!
