What is your favorite quote from a movie or TV show?

My all time fav is from the last episode of Sex and the City!

Carrie: Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting,
challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.

' 'What' aint no country I ever heard of' - Pulp Fiction
'shake and bake' - Taledega Nights
'Ricky...boobie'- Taledega Nights

I have a lot , but I obviously can't think on the spot right now lol

I can pretty much quote you the entire movie of 'The Princess Bride' from beginning to end and I love the entire thing!!

'Wesley and I are joined by the bonds of love. And you cannot track that, not with a thousand bloodhounds. And you cannot break it, not with a thousand swords. And when I said you were a coward, it was only because you are the slimiest weakling ever to crawl the Earth!!'

Love 'shake and bake'. Love 'The Sandlot'!

I love the part in Wedding Crashers, but I don't think I have it exactly. 'So tell me, what were they like? Were they nice? Were they built for speed or comfort? Oh, you old motor boatin' son of a b!tch!'

The only one I can think of right now are a couple from 'Knocked Up'

'Don't let the door hit you in the Vagina on the way out'

'You must be angry at the baby whenever it steals your food, huh. Ohh that's mine, not yours. But, you know, because you're family you gotta share. ' I think it's how she says it that makes me laugh so hard!!!

The Notebook!!!!!!!!!!

Young Noah:Well that's what we do, we fight... You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a ***** and I tell you when you are a pain in the ***. Which you are, 99% of the time. I'm not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you're back doing the next pain-in-the-*** thing.
Young Allie: So what?
Young Noah: So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day.

Re: What is your favorite quote from a movie or TV show?

hmmm cant think of my absolute favorite but here are a few of my favorites

CHASING AMY-
Banky Edwards: Alright, now see this? This is a four-way road, okay? And dead in the center is a crisp, new, hundred dollar bill. Now, at the end of each of these streets are four people, okay? You following?
Holden: Yeah.
Banky Edwards: Good. Over here, we have a male-affectionate, easy to get along with, non-political agenda lesbian. Down here, we have a man-hating, angry as ****, agenda of rage, bitter dyke. Over here, we got Santa Claus, and up here the Easter Bunny. Which one is going to get to the hundred dollar bill first?
Holden: What is this supposed to prove?
Banky Edwards: No, I'm serious. This is a serious exercise. It's like an SAT question. Which one is going to get to the hundred dollar bill first? The male-friendly lesbian, the man-hating dyke, Santa Claus, or the Easter bunny?
Holden: The man-hating dyke.
Banky Edwards: Good. Why?
Holden: I don't know.
Banky Edwards: [shouting] Because the other three are figments of your ******* imagination!

MADE-
Ricky Slade: Here's what I'm gonna ask of you... We're going to be spending the night in New York, so it worked out well for all of us. I want you to take it back to the business class, I want you to round up a couple of honeys... At our hotel room we're gonna have kind of a pool party. California gangster-style, you know what I mean? Kick *** pool party thing.

Ricky Slade: Did you just let SCREECH in the ******* club?

Oh jeez, there are WAY too many!!! A good oldie that I like is from, believe it or not, 'Happy Days'. lol.

In this scene, Fonzie tells the guys that he's getting married. They're so shocked that he'd settle down with somebody, so they wanna know who she is and immediately begin searching the bathroom wall for her name. Fonzie gets all annoyed and yells:

'What are you doing? You don’t marry girls from the wall! Are your MOTHERS on the wall?'

(it was just the best, because even the Fonz admits that no guy wants to marry an 'easy' girl) haha

**

my other favs are from 'The Count of Monte Cristo' and there are soooo many I love from there, but here's just one for now

Mercedes: Let it go, Edmund. Let it go. I don’t know what dark plan lies within you. Nor do I know by what design we were asked to live without each other for 16 years. But God has offered us a new beginning.
Dontes: God?
Mercedes: Don’t slap his hand away.
Dontes: Can I never escape Him?
Mercedes: No. He is in everything. Even a kiss.

Cloris Leachman in Young Frankenstein - --'OOOOvaltine?'

Shirley McClaine in Steel Magnolia's - 'I'm not crazy, I've just been in a very bad mood for the past 40 years.'

Airplane: 'Oh stewardess! I speak jive. '

And Aragon's speech in Return of the King right before the raid Modor

'Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!'

There really are waaaay too many!

I love that one!!!!!

I have two faves but I can't remember the exact one from SATC...it is from the episode where Carrie's Manolos were stolen at a baby shower where she had to take off her shoes at the door. Her friend who hosted it said 'Well Carrie, I don;t see why I should have to pay for your extravagant lifestyle...I have a real life now.' So Carrie wrote a note to her friend telling her that she married herself and she registered for the stolen Manolos...at the end of the episode, Carrie says that it's 'hard to walk in a single person's shoes so you might as well make it a great pair' or something like that

My other one is from Star Trek lol...'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...' I love that one because it speaks to the selfishness of others outweighing the good for many others i.e., the AIG Bonus thing
