what should i do with lots of magazines?

what should i do with lots of magazines?

i'm doing some spring cleaning and i have four piles of Lucky and Latina magazines from the past few years...other than recycling, is there anything that i can do with them? maybe donate them or something? i tried googling but came up with nothing. would hate for these magazines to go to the garbage if someone can use them...any ideas ladies??

Do not ask me.

I can't throw away magazines I must keep all of them because there may be an article that I will want to read someday. I have Rolling Stone in the linen closet and I still have Disney Adventures in the garage at my parent's house .

If anyone famous is on the cover of the magazines you could sell them on ebay. My friend sells old Cosmos all the time. It is amazing what people will pay for old magazines.

If you want to give them away put a curb alert on Craigs List. If someone wants them they will come and collect them.

are there any local recreation centers near you that might want them? Or local libraries?

a lot of schools take magazine donations for their art department.

1) If you like your dentist/doctor/shrink give them to him or her. Those mags are always 5 years old.

2) Research alternative fuel options for next winter

3) Origami is a fun and underrated art.



Just kidding, I'm venting here at my DH who is unable to throw out ANY magazines that he brings home. I have to surreptitiously hide them in my bags when I leave the house on recycling days so he won't notice they are gone.

There's always plain old recycling too. That;s what I do most of the time

thanks girls for all the replies i'll be calling up some local schools to see if they can use the mags...they're just so many of them and if they can be used for art projects or get some second life out of them i'd feel
