So my best friend of like 15 years is getting married in 2010. She just got engaged in december. I am 11 weeks pregnant and she wants to go order the BM dresses next month cause the ones she wants are being discontinued. Iam afraid that when I order my size it might not fit me after the baby is born next august. I know I will have time to lose weight But I am just nervous about ordering it so soon. What should I do? Should I order it a siz or 2 bigger?

i would talk to the person at dress shop, and prob go bigger with the thought that you can always take it in but you cant let it out...worse case you will have to pay more for alterations

go bigger, they can ALWAYS take it in!!! Also, you won't feel so much pressure to lose the weight right away. You're hands will be full with a baby and i'm sure your weight and fitting into that dress will be the last thing on your mind!

if it doesnt fit they can make it fit
my MOH was preggers for my wedding and didnt fit into her size 4 dress she got pregnant after we ordered dresses and they discontinued my dress as well - her pregnancy wasnt planned so she ordered in her size not thinking she would ever be pregnant for our wedding.....
she was almost 6 months at our wedding - they were able to add fabric - she bought the fabric and the seamstress added panels - and she looked gorgeous!
so trust me - they can MAKE a dress fit even if its too small....so you have no reason to stress - order 1 size big and if its too small they can still figure out a way to make it fit you....so dont worry about it....
oh and i have pics in my album of my SIL and she looks great and her dress looks fine if you want to check out how it looks when they add panels

def a size or 2 bigger.. paying extra for alterations is better than killing yourself with pressure to lose weight!

One of my BMs had a baby 8 months before my wedding so when we went dress shopping she had JUST had the baby and she ordered a size up from what she normally is, just to be on the safe side. Well, she ended up having no problem at all... it was altered perfectly and she looked great! I would order up at least one size and if it ends up being too big, any seamstress should be able to fit it to you.
