what the ef!

my co-worker and i were talking and she told me she overheard that we may not get bonuses this year .... if that's the case, i'd be PISSED .... especially since the company's having our holiday party at the Plaza Hotel!

Couldn't we not have a holiday party and get that money as a bonus?! The Plaza has got to cost $400 per person, at least! (and we're allowed dates)

(well, potentially pissed .... i have a meeting with my boss later today and i will be asking if this rumor is true or not)

Yeah that really bothers me, too. Half the staff here didn't get bonuses last year but we had a huge holiday party (and an even bigger party for the attorneys ) which I thought was pretty ridiculous and unfair. That's not counting all the other unnecessary parties/luncheons/events that they hold.

Did you ever find out if this is true?

Mini-update: pretty much nobody knows anything My boss said that we'll probably find out about the bonus we're getting (if any) in February .... oh well, better late than never (he said he thinks we'll get *something*, but prob less than past years)

Haha.. me too. Within departments people go out to lunch but that's it. Our Bonus' were frozen over a year go.
