What the hell am I gonna wear to this wedding?

We have a wedding starting at 5pm on Saturday in Tucson, AZ. It is ALL outdoors - ceremony AND reception. They said 'dress accordingly.' because it can drop to the 50's at night. When I go to weddings I don't normally wear long sleeves.

I was gonna actually wear a dress similar to this one in blue



I'm a big baby with the cold!! What should I do? Quickly shop for a long sleeve dress? I leave on Thursday morning!

I'd love some advice! thanks!

Could you get a shawl or some type of warm wrap?
The ceremony is outside butt the reception is inside?

I do have a shawl but I doubt it's warm enough. Ceremony AND reception are both outside. Yikes, who wants an outdoor reception on a Saturday night in November?!

maybe a shrug? That's what they're called right? You could probably buy a really simple one at macys or something

I hope they have heated lamps for their guests

hmmm I totally forgot I had a long sleeve shrug! But I think it might be too casual looking....I guess I can hit the mall for a little bit tomorrow and Wed before I leave on Thursday.

I can still see myself freezing anyway!

tara, it's been UNSEASONABLE warm out here!!! you might need a light sweater, but it should probably be in the 60s by the time the wedding ends. i just had a wedding gig this past saturday and was sweating in my long sleeved black attire (that all of us instrumentalists wear to gigs!) seriously, it hit 90 today!! i wanted to kill myself. enjoy tucson!!! it's nice to visit

Weather.com says 47 for the low though! brrrr!!! 80 for the high...

We are out there all night though...ceremony is at 5 but the reception continues and it's outside!!!

Randi- how should I pack? All summer clothes? Or just long pants and short sleeve shirts? Thanks!

I would definitely shop around for something....crazy to have a reception outside this month!
Try Express, Macys~sounds ridiculous but try Contempo too, I know they have TONS of sweaters

I wouldn't pack all summer clothes, but certainly pants and teeshirts. you should be fine with a short dress and a little cardigan. definitely a light jacket for night time!

The thing about Tucson is that when it syas 40 for the overnight low. . . it doesn't get that cold until about 5am!! it stays fairly warm until the wee hours. If the wedding goes until 10 or 11pm, it should still be in the 60s or high 50s.

other than the wedding, what else are you guys gonna do while you're out here?!? i'll give ya the scoop as to what's good and what's not

wow. im such a wuss w/ slight cold, that wouldnt be the wedding for me. id def wear a cardigan or shawl over whatever you choose! personally id never expect ppl to sit outside for hours in November. When the wind picks up, its so brisk lately. And most women's dressy clothing isnt for warmth and comfort, ya know.

God love ya for even wearign a dress cause I HATE the cold! Wear turtlenck till end of June when it stays warm consistently.

LOL I would wear slacks (I have satiny ones for just such occasions) and a pretty feminine blouse and strappy sandals then wrap myself in my shawl AND DD's suit jacket... he knwos by now lol HE freezes and I get it.
