i get out at 5:30 but by the time i get home it's about 7:30/8pm sometimes 9pm depending which train i catch.

when daylight savings time ends(when NY is 2 hrs ahead of AZ - we don't have daylight savings time here), i'm home by 3pm, but when it's going on (when NY is 3 hrs ahead of AZ), I'm home by 2pm. However, that's because I leave at either 5:30am or 5am! Working stock market hours on west coast time STINKS!! and it's typically a 20 min. commute in the morning and upwards of 45 min in the afternoon, especially in the winter with all of the snow birds

I live in Howard Beach Queens, work in Jersey City, if I walk out exactly at 5PM.....the earliest I'm home is about 6:15pm.....but thanks to the lovely A train and its many delays, a lot of the time I'm home closer to 7PM. commuting s*cks!!!!!!!! if I could find a job that paid the same around here I'd do it in a heartbeat......makes me miss the days I worked in Queens and had a 10 minute commute!

Plus side to my job: I get out of work at 2:30 and then go to the gym; I usually get home at 5:30-6:00.
Downside to my job is I have to be up by 5:30 am. I so hope I get a teaching job closer to home next year. The 45 minute commute on twisty turny snowy country roads is killing me!!!

I get off at 5pm every night except friday. I get off at 6pm then. It only takes me about 20 mins. to get home depending on traffic.

Out around 5 and home around 5:30. I could deal with coming home any later. I have to have dinner on the table by 6:30 in case DH has to go to the fire house.

Out of work at 5pm and home by 5:30-5:45pm usually. I'm pretty lucky with the short commute, I just wish I liked my job more.

i'm a 9-5er--so done by 5--home by about 520-530
Same here but 8 - 5er and it depends on how slow people drive too so mostly 5:30

depends...generally about 5;45-6pm, earlier if I am lucky, but waaay later...sometimes 9 or 10 if i have to meet clients or if we have intake at court...ick

I run out of work around 5:30/6 then I have to make it across town to penn and get on my train to jersey so I can make the shuttle that takes me from the train station to my development. I usually get home around 7/7:30. I have to say its so stressfull when you have to take 2 subways just to get to the train. If one's running late I'm screwed!! ugh I need a job in jersey!!

I get out of work at 2 PM. My school has 4 different bell schedules, so I am on the earliest one. I have to be in by 7:20 AM. I am even luckier though...this semester my lunch period is last...I can technically leave at 1:15.
However, on Tuesdays I have class from 4:30-7:00 and don't get home till about 7:30. On Thursdays I have class from 4:30-10:00. Yes. 10:00. I don't get home till 10:30 and then have to get up at 5:45. That's pretty rough.
I like my teacher's schedule.
