What to do in Myrtle Beach

What to do in Myrtle Beach

DH and I are going to Myrtle Beach from June 28 - July 1. We are staying at Marriot Grand Dunes.

What MUST we do, see, go to eat while we are there? We have never been. All I know is there is a beach and golf.

Any suggestions?

TIA

myrtle beach is such a great place! we went to 'Legends' which was great! It's pretty much a concert of celebrity impersonators..and they're actually really good! lol. it was a fun time. i definetly reccomend it.. we also went to see the cirque de soleil show that was playing at the time...i'm sure u will find SO many brochures and such when u get to ur hotel.. we also ate at 'crabby mikes' (i THINK that was the name) a few times - it's a nice cheap seafood buffet with pretty much all u can eat crab legs nothing fancy..but good cheap eats! also DEFINETLY hit up the outlets..the hubby & i shopped SO much..not only are the prices fantastic, but the tax is SO much less!

there are also so many things to do along the boardwalk...the Ripley's believe it or not is always a fun/silly time

I went there a few years back and had a blast. There is a lot to do there besides going to the beach. They have this thing called 'Broadway on the Beach' (I think that's what it was called) that has a ton of shopping and great restaurants. We went to Ripley's Believe It or Not which was pretty cool. There is an amusement part in that area as well. I believe there is a House of Blues as well as a few gator farms! One of the things we really enjoyed was Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. It's just like Medival Times!

...another restaurant...and i am COMPLETELY drawing a blank on the name...but it's a BBQ place that is apparently famous for their ribs & such..i was dieing to check it out the whole time but unfortunately never got to go but it's worth asking about or scanning the brochures for it looked REALLY good!

My friend works at that hotel! The conceirge at the hotel can set you up with tickets to any of the shows. There is the Palace Theatre and Carolina Oprey and Alabama Theater you can check there websites for which shows will be playing. And there is also a casino boat if that is your thing! Have fun!
