What to do with all the wedding paperwork?

Hi Gals,

Today is a cleaning day and I have a question for you. Do you think it is ok to get rid of all my wedding related paperwork? (I'm keeping the photo and video stuff because we aren't finished with those vendors yet) Should I hang on to it for a while? If so, how long?

I have a huge wedding binder that I kept all my ppwk in from beginning of planning to end of wedding. I think its good to hold onto just in case for future ref. Its up to you!

i had a etiquette/workbook about weddings for all my WR stuff--and the other side opened up as an accordion style folders---and i have it on our book shelf--just in case for any future reference.

Yep same as the other girls, I have all my stuff in a binder just in case for some reason I need it or want to find out something

same here I also kept everything -- I've gone back to some of the stuff when people asked where I ordered something from or how much something cost

I'm keeping my binder for my friends' weddings. There's so much valuable price and package information. Why should they do the research when I'd spent so much time on it.

yep me too....it helps when a bride on here has a question, & it's also helped a lot of my friends who are getting married now(my best friend actually just got engaged & wanted a ton of info). It's away up in my closet so it's not taking up space or anything....why not keep it right?

Thanks, girls! I have everything in a plastic file box and will hold on to it for a while longer.

It was funny going through the box--it was my lifeline for months!

I kept everything. I have it all stored in my box that I used for the wedding cars.
I was surprise that everything fit in there.

I even saved all the wedding card too!

I put in in a file...in a folder (I did narrow it down though!)

Mine is all in an expandable file pocket.
No real reason to keep all this stuff, but it is going to take me a while to part with it.
I guess because I carried it around with me for over a year !
I might just keep some of it in a scrapbook fashion.

I have all my paperwork saved in file folders.
For no other reason other than the fact that I can't part with any wedding stuff... just looking at it brings me back... I miss it!!!!
But I don't think you really need any of that paperwork anymore, except the unfinished ones (photo/video), or if someone asks you for a recommendation in the future.
