im going for t he first time today and i have no idea what i should wear or even how it works? do you have your own dressing room?

Yes you have your own room. I always wore a button up shirt, easier and I am very modest so its easy to hold closed. I wore pantyhose as well. I also wore my hair up so I could try veils on with each dress. Good luck and have the time of your life!

Basically when you go dress shopping, you look thru all the dresses and try on the ones you like. Most people you will deal with at the stores know what they are doing and will lead the way. You get a private room and usually the salesperson will come in with you and help you in and out of the dresses. At first you may feel uncomfortable but after awhile you don't care too much about being modest!
I never wore or brought anything special. Sometimes (if I remembered) I would bring a strapless bra or pantyhose. I would bring some kind of clippy to throw my hair up (nothing fancy). I always tried to wear white or light colored undies (once I wore a flowered pattern and it showed thru the dress and I felt silly). I always brought sample pictures of dresses or styles I liked from mags!
