I know this is going to sound silly but what should i wear to the closing?? Like do i get dressed up? keep it casual? we will be moving out of my parents garage that day too, so i would rather be comfy.
and so at lunch i ran to joyce leslie, cuz i needed a black and white tank top (i wear a tank underneath almost everything and the ones i have are getting kinda worn) anywho i wanted a new outfit for the closing/moving, and i found this cute little pink plaid short sleeve button down and thought that looked kinda like a 'moving day' shirt! lol So if i wear that with a white tank underneath, with my skinny jeans, and flip flips or flats to the closing, is that ok??
Im a nut and feel i need a 'new' outfit for every big moment in my life! lol at least it was cheap! right? i gotta get out of that habit! LOL but my main reason for doing it is i cant find half my clothes and couldnt even throw something cute together if i tried, cuz all i pretty much have available is sweats!

There's certainly no dress code but you don't want to look bummy either! I don't know why but I wouldn't! The outfit you described sounds cute and comfy and I would wear it!

I wore jeans and a nice top. You can wear anything though. They are pretty casual.

I wore what I normally wear to work because I went to work straight after it was over (well not straight - DH and I went to get our marriage license that day too).
You can just wear jeans - it's not a big formal event - as long as you bring your ID and your checkbook you're good!

Funny you brought this up. I, too, wanted to wear something 'special' to our closing. I ended up wearing my better jeans, a nice top and flats. Since you sound like me a bit, I will tell you what we did after we closed:
Got in the car, took the housekey out of the envelope and I took a pic of it.
On our way to our new home, I called and texted whoever I could to let them know it was official.
I let DH do the honors of opening our door for the first time and took a pic of him doing so.
We set the camera with the self timer on top of the car (we were alone) and took a pic of us in front of our new house (another reason I wanted to wear something nice--- I hate pictures if I'm not happy with what I am wearing).
It is a special day and by all means do whatever you feel would make it memorable, even if it means buying something new to wear. Happy New Home!

Oh i didnt think about taking a picture of the key!! soo doing in! lol in front of the house def!!! Ok im getting really excited now!

I wore my normal work clothes, I took a half day at work and went to the closing. I just remember my hand hurting after from all the signing

I am the same way about always thinking that I need a new outfit for every event- big or small so I remember what I wore to our closing... it was the summer so I had on white jeans and a short sleeve nice top. Its so true though that you can wear anything! Its such an exciting day- good luck!
