I got ALOT of reading done during our HM in the maldives while laying by the beach. They had a library there so i would pick up a new book every two days. I read:
Getting Rid of Matthew - Which was Hysterical btw!
A Thousand Splendid Suns- I highly reccomend i was crying throughout half of this book! lol
The Kite Runner- Beautiful Novel by the same author of a thousand splendid suns.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter- Also a really emotional, but great book
I think im going to have to try a memory keepers daughter, i keep hearing that it was a really good book.
You have to read it!!

I also did a lot of honeymoon reading! And read a book on the flight here to CA.
The Glass Castle... which I loved!
The honeymoon books I read were... Lucky The Lovely Bones The Memory Keeper's Daughter The Year of Magical Thinking (not one of my favorites though)
I wish I had brought more books to read!
Any recommendations? I've already read the Kite Runner, The Secret Life of Bees...
I love to read the NY Times Best Sellers (paperback fiction) but I'm not into Nicholas Sparks, Jodi Picoult, or James Patterson type of authors...

Since I am working on dissertation research--I am pathetic--have only read stuff related to my dissertation lately! Want to finish as soon as possible so got myself on a strict schedule!

i wish i read more! I am totally going to buy The Memory Keepers Daughter and Kite Runner. I now have a 2 hour train ride everyday and I am looking for good books to read!

I finished Harry Potter withing 24hours of it coming out (Icouldn't put it down)
I also just finished 'Sister of My Heart' by Chitra Divakaruni- it's about 2 cousins growing up in India, and theres a dark family secret one learns, they grow apart and then something brings them back together.
'The Mistress of Spices' by Chitra Divakaruni was also fantastic.
I also just finished 'the Jewel that was Ours' by Colin Dexter. It's an Inspector Morse novel, also a good read.
