my sister's
my parents were so against it they didnt talk to her for months but they ended up attending and after so much heartache they finally beat the odds and got married
we were all hysterical - me, my brother, all of my cousins male and female - bc we knew what they had to overcome to get to that point. . .it meant a lot to all of us and it also showed my parents how wrong they were!
on the other hand i also attended a wedding where everyone couldnt stop saying how in love the groom looked and what a great union it was and he turned out to be a POS so, it has made me cynical!

My parents' wedding; you see, they had gotten married back in 1969, but at City Hall, because my Dad had been married before so they couldn't marry in the Church. Plus, they never had a party.
Well, in 1991, my Dad filed for an annulment with the Church for his first marriage. It was granted and my Mom & Dad were married in the Church in 1992 and then we had a nice reception. It was so wonderful to be a part of their special day.

My most memorable would have to be the first and only southern wedding that I went to.
Ceremony: Took place on the beach but there was no set spot or chairs for anyone. We started standing in one spot, then moved, then moved again in the middle of the ceremony.
Reception: *Took place at a hotel on the beach in a very small gathering room. The indoor pool was connected so strangers who were using the pool had to walk through the room to get to the public bathrooms that were attached * Since it was a public room when we walked in the signs that read 'Please do not eat the food- its for my wedding, signed the bride' were still hanging up over the little food they had. * They had finger sandwiches to eat the the mustard, mayo and ketchup wwere in packets from fast food places such as subway, mcdonalds and bojangles
I could go on and on but it was like nothing I ever saw before- I was soooo glad I went

ooooo good one.....so many to choose from!
i think our friends shawny and willie---simply because they have one of those amazing love stories. long story short--they met when she was in her late teens, and he was 10 years older---and they figured 'she's too young'. and they went their separate ways---he moved to Florida and it was c'est la vie. more than a decade and a half later---they found each other again--and the love was even stronger than they remembered. age meant nothing---and nearly 20 years after they first met--they finally married and are extremely happy together.
