I cannot believe it but we are quickly approaching our 1 year anniversary ! We just bought a house so funds are tight. We would have loved to take a little trip somewhere, but I don't think we can swing it. Any ideas for something special that won't break the bank?

Well, we just had a baby two weeks ago, so our plans to go back to our honeymoon resort had to be nixed. I'm a little sad about that, however, I'd say making a baby with my new husband was a great way to celebrate our marriage We'll probably pawn our little one off on my parents and sleep late and go out to dinner and get drunk Can't think of anything better at this point!

We were supposed to go to Paris for a few days as part of our HM in Europe, but had to change it at the last minute due to the riots going on there. So we have been talking about possibly going for 4 or 5 days to Paris for our anniversary.

We're going to the RIU Palace in Mexico for our 1 year coming up this November!
If you can't swing it on a trip right now there are so many great things to do.How about eating at the hall you got married at! You could even have a romantic night out in NYC with dinner and drinks. You can't go wrong with a night out in Manhattan.

We are going to go away somewhere for a few days. Not sure where yet. But Jet Blue is having a sale from JFK to Aruba for $99 each way. We are thinking maybe the Bucuti Hotel for a few nights.

On our first anniversary we went to a wonderful steakhouse, Burton & Doyle's. We plan to go there again next week for our 3rd anniversary.

I thought about Vegas and possibly renewing our vows at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel in front of Elvis the way my brother did on HIS first anniversary. But DH said Vegas in February isn't very warm. Perhaps we will go to FL or a less expensive Caribbean island.

We are splurging on a Mediterranean Cruise that leaves a month before our anniversary. If we have any money left by the time our actual anniversary comes around we might go away somewhere driveable for the weekend. If not we'll probably just go out to dinner.

Were thinking of staying at a luxury hotel in Manhattan, going to dinner at a nice restaurant, a play and maybe some sight seeing being we live 20 minutes from the city never take advantage of it so were thinking thats the plan.

We just got back from a Mediterranean Cruise! if you have any questions about the ports (like which to do on your own versus ship excursions) I would be glad to help. We had an amazing time!

Congrats on the upcoming anniverary. We went to the Westin Rio Mar in Puerto Rico for our anniversary but if you're looking for somethine more low-key, I suggest Newport, RI. Cute beachy town, nice restaurants & B&Bs and about 4 hours from the Island
