What would you do?

my family always call me on my b-day. this one member hasn't called. not an e-mail, message on myspace, nothing. what would u do if the person doesn't call by the time u go to sleep.

I don't think there is anything you can do.
If they forgot, there is nothing you can do except revel in it when they later remember and feel awful about it.

I know how you feel My family always calls me too -- this year I got nothing. No phone calls from ANYONE in my family. I dont know if it was because the wedding was this year too I I didnt mention it to any of them. BUT when their b-days come around this year, I wont be calling them.

Re: What would you do?

Bdays are a HUGE competition in our family!!

If someone doesn't call, we just make fun of them and make their life miserable for the entire year!!! It's actually really funny.....we'll even set our alarm clocks to 12:01 am to try to be the first person to call........ LOL LOL LOL..

See, I forgot to phone my brother on his bday........so I am the one who is going through hell right now from my family!!!

So what would I do???? I would laugh and try to figure out how I can make them feel really bad in a FUNNY way!

But I am sorry that you're missing your call........maybe they just got busy.....they'll call

I'm pretty forgetful, although I must say I've never forgotten a family member's B'day.....

I'd give them a 3 day's grace period.... if nothing then, I'd tease them for the next year....

(I like that idea from the above post )

Try not to worry or think about it... eventually someone will remind them or they'll remember... and they'll feel awful!!! Haha!!!

Happy Birthday!!!!!

I say let it go. I forgot to call my bestfriend on her birthday. I remembered all week, and then the day of her birthday my car broke down. It was an honest mistake.
She could have been mad but becasue she wasn't it made me realize just how special of a friend she is!!!

i'm not going to make an issue of it with her. to me, the people that remembered, those are the people i know that cared. oh well, what can u do

Re: What would you do?

my feelings would be a little hurt but i wouldnt really do anything about it except wait to see if/when they remember. im sure it will kick in when they talk to your other fam and youll get some sort of belated bday message.

remember, sometimes ppl who genuinely care have a forgetful moment!! try not to hold it against them if thats the case.

I'd be pissed... If my mother didn't call me at 6am on my birthday (when I was born) and sing me Happy Birthday, I would be really mad
