what would you do...?

so DH is dying to see a show ... it'll be at MSG but tix are really pricey ($100 per ticket for the 300 section!)

... or we can drive down to PA (or take the trains) and see the show there where $150 per ticket buys you floor seats!

oh, and the show's on a tuesday night in either location so if we do the PA one, we'd need to take a half day off from work on tues & another half day on wed (or maybe full days, who knows)

so which would you buy?

i'm leaning towards the PA tickets ... but i just wanna get your opinions and whatnot before i take the $300 plunge lol

Have you tried Stub Hub?

I would spend the extra to be closer and take time time off IF it was a band I was nuts about...but I've sat in the 300-level at MSG many times and for the most part, it isn't bad. It's not great, I won't lie, but it's do-able.

Remember that the PA tickets also mean travel time, gas/train fare, possible hotel stay, meals, etc.

BUT it is totally worth it if he's crazy about the band.

it's a Cirque du Soleil show for Michael Jackson (DH is a HUGE fan).

that's why i think being closer counts ... cause with Cirque shows, you need to actually see things to appreciate them!

I personally wouldn't even buy tickets yet only because who the heck knows what's going to happen in the next 2 years...like what if you need to move because of a job transfer, or you're 9 months preggo, or something.

But if you have your heart set on it, shoot...do the PA show. It'll be the same thing since it's scripted (not like, say, Bruce playing NJ as opposed to Virginia Beach...clearly the NJ show would be a better crowd). I thought this was something happening like next month, where you'd have to budget for all that travel expense!

LOL no ... but DH showed me the ad earlier and pretty much swooned over it ... i thought i'd surprise him with it.

Maybe you're right about waiting till it's somewhat closer to the date ... but i'm nervous that tix would be sold out since there are LOTS of MJ fans out there who i'm sure would die to go.

great, now i need to decide if i wanna buy them now, or wait till it gets closer ... thanks for giving me MORE decisions to make

Well look at it this way...if you buy them now, and for some odd reason can't use them, you should really have no trouble trying to sell them!
