What would you do?? Breast Milk (with poll)

I was reading about that woman that just had the octuplets. It said in the article that the babies were drinking donated Breast milk.

My question is would you ever let your baby drink another womans breast milk??

No way!!! That's what forumla is for....

but I guess since those babies are so tiny breast milk is the only thing to make them grow healthy and strong??

ummmm yuck! I would do it if it was my sister or dh's sisters but not some stranger. Although years ago rich people used to hire wet nurses

I just could never do it either!! If I could not do it my self then i would just do the formula.

OMG!!!!

That movie was scary and creeped me out!!! I hate that the Nanny was nursing the baby behind the mothers back!! Ugghhhh...

lol that's too funny.

I would not have my child drink someone else's breast milk. I would only breast feed b/c it's the whole connection with your child kind of thing. If I couldn't produce, then they go on formula. It has nothing to do with the fact that they are drinking breast milk, for me at least.

they used to have wet nurses so i guess its not abnormal but i am not sure if i would be up to it.

I wouldn't. Although it is good for the babies, there are things that can pass through the milk that wouldn't be good for the child, ie the flu. You would not know nor would the person have the babies best interest, possibly. The could be a drinker, using drugs or taking meds that could affect the milk also. It would leave me w/ too many questions.
