What would you do in this situation?
If you were invited to a wedding the day before your one year anniversary and you planned to be away on a week long anniversary trip would you go to the wedding and plan your trip after your anniversary or say screw the wedding...send a gift...and be off on your merry way. The wedding would be for an ok friend....someone you talk to and get together with every so often...but they did attend your wedding. Thanks girls

Re: What would you do in this situation?
This happens to me a lot. If I planned a trip, I cant go to the wedding. I send a gift and my best wishes along with a phone call apologizing. I dont think anyone expects you to cancel your vacation for a wedding unless you are very close.

That you are even asking, I would keep your vacation plans and send your regrets.

Re: What would you do in this situation?
For an 'ok' friend I would still go on vacation and miss the wedding.

Re: What would you do in this situation?
If I already planned or close to finalizing my trip I would not go and send a gift - they will understand. If I really wanted to go I would plan my trip around it...I like weddings no matter who they are for.

Re: What would you do in this situation?
if the trip is already booked, it's booked!how close to the poeple getting married are you??
I vote for the vacation personally, especially if it's for your one year. Unless of course, the couple getting married is family or were part of your bridal party

Re: What would you do in this situation?
I had a trip planned not booked, and had to cancel it because my SIL decided to get married 4 days after our one year anniversary. So I say go on your vacation, i am pissed that I needed to change mine!

We were invited to a wedding the day before our 1 year anniversary and would have to travel for the wedding. We declined so we could spend the weekend celebrating.Welcome New Vendors
