i wouldnt accept the friend request and therefore would not feel the need to mention it to dh.

if an ex contacted me then yeah i would mention it. I wouldnt respond so i wouldnt have anything to hide.

DH knows I still talk to my ex's. He doesnt have a problem with it. He knows i'm not hanging out with them and i'm married TO HIM. He won :)

He was actually able to read a convo I had with an ex yesterday on FB. he didnt care. It was harmless

This happened to me the other day. DH was sitting right there so I just nonchalantly said 'so and so friend requested me, Im not approving it' lol

He just gave me the Im not even gonna say anything look because you know what I would.

Agreed....I dont talk to my ex and I didnt accept the request...so what is there to discuss?? It wouldnt even occure to me to mention it...the same as if I denied any other friend request.

i always tell him when the x emails me. we ask one another how is your family, how is this and that? We are friendly enough and check in a few times a year. The x is now expecting w/ his wife, and i couldnt be happier for him!!

I would tell him, but I would probably tell him about how I just deleted it b/c it's not worth my time and laugh at my ex lol

I think you should be honest, especially if it is an ex that you aren't on good terms with, or you aren't friends with. My DH works with his ex, so I demand honesty. Its better to be honest now than to have him find out later on that you didn't tell.

lol - already happened & already told him. i didn't really make a big deal about it - we just laughed about how pathetic it was really. with situations like this, i always try to flip our roles. even if it's nothing, how i would I feel if it was HIS ex and he kept it a secret? i dont like secrets.lol.and i don't feel there should be any in a marraige.. that being said - if it wasn't a serious relationship at all and they were more of friends, then i don't really think there's any big deal to it...

I would tell him. I had an ex write me an actual letter and then a year or so later message me on myspace. I told DH and even showed the letter to him. I would honestly want to know if one of his exes wrote to him, so I feel like I should too. I feel like that is something that should be put out there. I wouldnt want DH to find out without me telling him and the question why it was something that was secret, ya know.

I would accept the request and then DH and I would go and look at all his pictures and laugh about what a scum said ex turned out to be (even if he's a millionaire we'll find something ). I feel nothing towards any of my ex's so I would think it was random but would accept their request (limited friend of course). DH and I are very open and are BFF's before anything we tell each other everything.
