What`s the best thing to do?

What`s the best thing to do?

I`m in the process of getting my thank yous together, and was wondering ... for those people that I know through work, whose spouses I don`t know except for having met them at my wedding .. how do I address the card? Mr. & Mrs. or by first names? Mr. & Mrs. seems too formal when I think of the person I work with, but when I consider the spouse, using their first name seems too weird and not respectful enough.

We had this issue - not only for co-workers' spouses, but for extended family that neither of us knew very well.

However, I think it's absolutely acceptable to address the inside message on the cards to both guests, using first names. While it might feel odd to you b/c you don't know the person very well, it is still the person's proper name, so it's plenty respectable.
:)

Congratulations and good luck getting your thank-you's completed!!

Address the card the same way the card the card was signed. If they wrote their name and their spouses, then address it to both of them regardless if you know them or not.
