i would have to say learning to share my money lol. i have had my own back account since i was like 12 and my dh is one of those balance the check book down to the penny people lol and he is always questioning where i spent what lol.

Thank you so much for your FM!! I appreciate it so much...and would have to say that, yes, moving to London has been my biggest compromise since getting married!!

I agree with you, it is a great experience and I'm learning so much more about my DH just being here. But it's a long summer full of expensive flights and I'm feeling very lonely and homseick right now I miss my family and friends and strangely, just particular streets in New York!!! But, moving to London for DH is something that I would forever regret not doing, so here I am!!

I would have to agree with this. DH is a penny-pincher and checks our bank account on a daily basis practically! I don't like it when he questions me about things that I buy. He refuses to have separate checking accounts too which really annoys me. I'm in no way a shopaholic, so I don't know what he's so worried about. Grrrr...

Two of my biggest regrets are not finding a place for us to live before we got married (it's SUCH a PITA) and actually, not living together before we got married. I am having a hard to time just learing to be patient with certain things, like his sloppiness, etc.

I have to say the biggest change is the money issues. I loved having my own money and spending at will. I can't do that anymore. Now it all has to go in the bank towards bills, bills, bills. I miss going shopping whenever I want!!!

We have both been learning to compromise about spending equal time with his family/my family and his friend/my friends. Sometimes it's hard to juggle.

Learning to deal/handle with DH's bad temper and his mood swings. He gets very moody and angry when he's irrated. DH learns to deal/handle my style of anger. He gets very irrated and moody very easily to snap.

1. Changing my name! I wanted to keep my maiden name but DH had a heart attack. We compromised and I ended up hypenating.

2. Money. DH has the checkbook balanced and he SAVES like crazy. I like to SPEND.

We lived together for 7 months before getting married so we are used to each other's habits.
