What's the lesser of two evils?

What's the lesser of two evils?

I'm really trying to be more conscious of what I eat, and I always have saltines for lunch. I get the unsalted ones, but they're white carbs. I just found out that they make multigrain saltines, but they're salted. I'm debating switching to those next time I'm due to replenish, but I don't know if the higher amount of sodium negates the good of the multigrain.

Any opinions?

Im not completely sure but i would think that the multigranes would be better. I had a personal trainer recently for a couple of sessions and she told me to live by this rule:

'If it''s white...it aint right'

I agree - the multigrain ones will prob be better. . you can always bruch a little salt off! but check the label and look at the difference in protein, fiber, sugar and sodium. . some things that claim they are multigrain really don't give you much improvement so check and see

Diet all depends on you! Do you have high blood pressure? You may want to avoid the salt in that case?

What are the fiber ratios for them? I would go with the highest fiber that's the ww rule anyways

I would say the Multi-grain would bebetter because all Multi grain will have more fiber in it then white carbs. However if u have blood pressure issues then u may want to avoid anything salted to much. Some salt isnt bad. Every person needs a certain amount of sodium in their diet & body. Plus make sure if you drink alot of water then u flush most of that extra sodium out Plus working out too helps get rid of sodium.

I don't have high blood pressure, so the salt shouldn't affect me too much...I was just raised not having table salt in my food because my mom, nana, and sister have a condition where they'll get nosebleeds...so it's more that I'm just used to unsalted, not that it's necessary for me.

I'll try the multigrain ones next, thanks!

i think like other people said, the multigrain would still be a better choice and its saltines so you can see the salt, not like so many other foods where its actually in the item itself. not sure though if they put salt into the actual ingredients of the cracker or the outside, you knwo what i mean.

also, another thing, maybe you know this but multigrain isnt necessarily wheat; i think some people might think that, anyway, having multi-grain is still better than white, it just might not be 100% whole wheat.

Actually Multigrain does usually have some wheat butlike you said some dont at all which is actuially better for you as wheat tends to blout you & the other grains are way healthier & better for you with more fiber.
