I use to always make fun of my color that every room in our house was blue. I use to say how can you stand so much of one color. However, almost every room im my house is now green (except bathroom and office). Don't get my wrong, I love how we have decorated but I need to mix more colors in.
So, I just want to know if you use a lot of different colors around your house of do you stick to just a few.

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
most rooms in my house are blue. We reused the paint from the bedroom and mixed it to make another shade of blue!
That and the custom made shades for the living room and dining room are blue. They were too expensive to replace. So when we redecorate the living room, it will have blue in it too. Our new bathroom will be grey and white or something neutral with different colored accessories. Our house is a blueish grey on the outside, too.
I guess I have an aversion to pink since my Mom always made me wear it when I was little.

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
Our house is all different color combos!! Our master bedroom is pale yellow with white trim; the master bath is dark blue and white; the main bathroom is pepto-bismol pink (not our doing!); the dining room is a nautical theme with white wainscotting and sponge-painted blue walls; the kitchen is ugly light brown paneling (next on our list to redo); our office is oak wood wainscotting with dark green on top; and our living room is a neutral beigey-color.
Somehow it all fits our personality!

My walls are mostly a straw color. Most of my furniture and my hardward floors are dark wood..so I guess brown rules.

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
We just painted and have a lot of warm tones:
Golden Straw for the Living Room Old Fashioned Peach for the Kitchen/Dinette Golden Straw for the Office Sage Green for the Master Bedroom Beige/Ecru for the Hallway
I actually love all the colors and how they came out. It was soooo hard making the initial decision.

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
I have a wideline New Orleans Style high ranch (has a deck that extends the entire length of the house on the second floor).
Alot of antique white/beige/marble-ish colors.
Foyer is antique white with beige/terra cotta tile.
Den is a camel color with sage green carpet and furniture with maple wall unit and earthtone accessories (polished silver, auburn, etc.)
Guest room is my passed grandmother's antique cherrywood furniture with cream colored walls and carpet. Bedding set (along w/setee) is in a matching seafoam green fabric.
Office floor is same tile running from foyer. Furniture is large maple desk w/matching armour.
Bathroom is almost like a light coffee colored tile with antique styled toliet, clawfoot tub and pedestal sink.
Livingroom is a cream/beige colored mirrored wall unit with beige sectional (we haven't completed carpeting on floors in livingroom hallway or stairs because of outside work that needed to be completed).
Dining room is a cream/marble finish furniture with columns and pillars everywhere. Styled in a romanesque fashion.
Kitchen is white cabinets with hunter green tile/countertop/backsplash.
Bathroom is grey/white marble finished tile with double white vanities and whirlpool tub.
Bedroom is same style (same designer) furniture as dining room. Bed is large four column poster bed. Berber cream/mixed earthtones carpet.
2 remaining bedrooms are not finished.
Exterior is creme with hunter green shutters and white pvc railing/columns. We tried to make it look like a Georgian mansion, with the high columns. Even the patio/back deck furniture is hunter green.

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
I live in an apartment too (not for much longer) so my walls are all white/beige. The accessories are typically earthtones.
chmlengr-When I was reading you house description I thought you were describing the house I am buying. The master bedroom is pale yellow with dark blue accessories and a dark blue and white master bath. The main bath is also bright pink and white - which I didn't think I liked the first time but am really growing to like it.
The downstairs rooms are mostly earthtones - sage green family room and mocha/beiges in the dining and living rooms.
My favorite room is the office. Half the wall is white wood and the top is a swirl of peach/yellow/white. All her accesssories in that room are light blue, peach and yellow. The room is so bright and cheery and pretty!!!!!

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
Can you believe we still havent painted the LR/DR yet! We did buy the paint and our LR furniture is in so we have to move on this project.
The LR will be done in Benj Moore Fresh Air - a light yellow, oak floors, Sage Sofa, 2 Cream Chairs, Cherry Wood. We need an area rug that hopefully will bring in some redish color.
The DR will doine in Benj Moore Weekend Getaway - a light sage, Cherry Wood DR set
The hall will be a combination of the two colors.
Our Bedroom is a pale green - cant remember the name
The Office is done in Vapor - a light blue
The Guest Room - no idea yet
The Den - UGH! is done in something shell (first room we did) it was supposed to be a light tan but its a pinkish color.
The Kitchen - some wild almost zibra looking black and white wall paper - not our choice, its the last of the funky decorating still around from the previous owner. It will have to wait till next year.

Furniture is beige, kitchen theme is cobalt blue, white walls all throughout our apt. We don't have the finances or the time to paint.

We live in a rented apartment- the walls are gold.. not metalic gold of course, but more like a mustard. We live on the 1st floor of a brownstown built in 1850. The details are amazing- tons of molding, great parquet floors, etc. For the bedroom we have a muted red with tan. In the den area we have a cross between khaki/tan couch. The kitchen has terracotta tile floor and some tile on walls (around the stove) and there are also some marble counters for baking.. there really is no predominant color since I have fiestaware in about a gazillion colors- it's pretty much anarchy! The bathroom is white mexican pool tile with purple details. Our towels are white with light sage green pattern (very sparce) and all chrome accessories. If this place went condo- I would buy it- it is so amazing.. we have a courtyard off the front and the back of our apartment.. and our own entrance... and our landlords (that live on the top three floors of the brownstone, are AMAZING.

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
We live in an apartment too, so we couldn't go too crazy with color. Our LR walls and bathroom are off-white (more creamy). Our bedroom is a light blue and the spare room is almost purplely-blue color. When we get a house I can't wait to do some different colors!

Re: What's the predominant color in your house?
We just bought a house, and I always knew I wanted something colorful, but not overwhelming. So we painted most of it like a mocha color (I love it and so does DH).
To add color in the living room, we have a green couch with all different types of throw pillows from Pier 1 that have really bold colors like greens, purples, gold, etc. Plants add a lot of color too! We have invisible blinds that are sage, and I want to get an eggplant colored scarf as a window treatment.
