how is everyone celebrating Turkey day?
It is usually pretty small by us- maybe 6 or 8 people.
Rob works that day, but it is mostly a fun day at work.
Then we have dinner around 6 that night

what`s up for the holidays?

Well, Thanksgiving is the usual traffic-filled trek into Brooklyn for dinner with my family. However, the big shocker for Christmas is the fact that hubby and I will be having 23 adults and 5 kids for Christmas Dinner!!! I don't even own a dining room set, not that it would matter for that many people! Suffice to say I'm a little stressed already! But that's what I get for marrying into a huge family! I'm hoping it will be a fun day - a good memory for our first 'married' Christmas together!!

I am really nervous about Christmas.....my in-laws who live in albany are coming down to Atlanta where we live for a week. It is going to be 'my first real family' christmas and I have to cook and plan it all out. I am excited but also very nervous. It feels kinda weird being the wife-hotess for Christmas.....I don't feel like I am old enough for that yet!

Celebrating Thanksgiving this Sunday with my family and on Thursday with his (per my mother`s suggestion!). I am in charge of appetizers at my Mom`s and dessert with his family.

Rob's cooking...

10 lb turkey and a meduim sized duck!
And Oyster stuffing. His mom is making clam chowder.
I will make the potatoes and the sides.
Will pick up an apple pie.

Having 7 plus our 2 for dinner.

We`re going to my mom`s...

Since I have such a big family, there`s always somewhere to go for the holidays.

We were supposed to go out to dinner in Manhattan Thursday evening with my husband`s family as well, but, unfortunately, his uncle`s brother just passed away yesterday so we`ll be going to sit shiva instead. :( This is the same uncle who lost his wife September 11th. I feel so bad for him.

Maybe you can think of it this way - He went to join his sweatheart. Thats what everyone said when my beloved GrandPa died just before Valentines day.

Have a nice Thanksgiving
