They spend about 15 minutes on pedicures and 15 minutes on manicures!!
i just hate that the customer turn over rate is so high, so they rush through manis and pedis.
I just dont remember them being this fast a few years ago. and they dont do as thoro of a job!

i know what you mean...i get so annoyed if someone rushes through a manicure and does a sloppy job!

Where do you go? Try Dashing Diva. I used to go to the on on crap..71st street and second? they have a website. They are AWESOME. Like 5 bucks more for everything but very clean and they dont use those damn machines which the asian place I went to months ago used and RUINED my nails (so thin you could see through them to the nail bed!
Dashign Diiva makes you buy your own little kit of file, the stick thingies and all of that for $1.00 and you can either have them store it for you or take it and bring it back every time. Just very very clean which I love.
I used to go to Joanna but now keep eating my fingers so havent gone in awhile. But she never rushed me and was sooo gentle. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
YOU CAN SO TELL WHEN THERE RUSHING OR NO RUSHING I LOVE WHEN THEY ARE SUPER SLOW IT SEEMS LIKE THEY RUB MY LEGGS AND FEET FOREVER, SO I ALWAYS TRY TO GO AT ODD TIMES

I went to a place on Sunday.....seriously i was out of there in like 10 minutes 5 for the manicure and 5 for drying I was like *** No hot towel, no lotion. Oh and the best was she asked if i wanted my nails cut. I said No just file. I then took my keys and went to put them in my bag and all of a sudden I hear the &*#&^!@#($ nail clipper........Yup she cut them. I was livid. the polish started chipping the next day,

I have totally noticed a difference in the time they spend massaging my hands/feet......even the one I used to swear by in Astoria has changed so much!!

I've seen that trend too, babe. However, I found this amazing place on SI where the girl gives you a 10 min foot and calf massage with your pedi!!! It's heaven!

Where do you go? I need a good place. Ever since I moved away from Howard Beach, I can't find a decent nail salon!

i agree..i got a whole manicure in like 8 minutes once... she did everything super fast... it was a nice job but it just felt sooo rushedd

15 minutes? Wow. If you come to Parkslope Brooklyn, I can take you to my nail salon - its run by Korea and Nepalese people, they are very good. The foot massage is just heaven

If you're anywhere near Hauppaugue, I used to go to a pretty good place in the same shopping center as Bagel Biz. I think it's called Nails 4 U. I wish I still worked over there and could go there, but now I live in Farmingdale and work in Jericho so it's soo much of a drive. I'm trying to find a decent place by me still.
A PP had a good point about going during down times. If they have a line of people, they're going to rush because they don't want people waiting. Going somewhere that does appointments only might be better.
