I've been sending out my hand written thank yous as soon as I received a gift--shower and wedding, because I did not want to have them hanging over my head.

My DH and I have to pick out pictures for our thanks you and I will send those out to everyone who came to the wedding and close family and friends who weren't able to make it to the wedding.

I got all of mine out before the 1-month mark. However,
1) We did not include pictures.
2) We did not take a honeymoon.
3) I am anal.

My delay to the July was due to waiting for the TY's to be printed ... otherwise I would have done them as soon as I returned from the HM ... I'm anal too!!

I was about the 3 month mark because I didn't know that I could have just had the thank you pic printed only - I thought I had to have all of my selections.

this is so helpful!

We havn't done any yet, and there are few 'just gifts' that arrived. We are still deciding whether or not to wait for TY picks or just to send cards and then picks later.

I figure 2 months is the max that I'm comfy with. My family is wierd, and they get offended easily.

I am waiting for mine to come in and then I think I want to wait for proofs so I can send some pics with them. I am hoping to have them out within the 2 month mark, 3 at the most...

I haven't even gotten my thanks you back, and its over 2 months now. I had picked a photo, email my photog.. and now thru a serious of miscommunications we keep missing one anther.. so I'm not sure what is going on

I am normally very anal about these sorts of things. But for some reason THIS particular matter of my wedding thank yous I keep blowing off. I dread it and I had less than 100 people at our wedding

No seriously, I COULD NOT SLEEP until those things were written out. If I even tried to close my eyes, I would be haunted by visions of an angry note card and p!ssed-off pen, or a family member's disappointment at returning from the mailbox empty handed...

I was the same! As a kid growing up my mom was fanatical about us sending thank you cards for everything. If I don't get thank yous out immediately my skin begins to crawl. We received a card with a check yesterday from some friends and I haven't written the thank you out and I'm beginning to feel very rude....

ok so I'm not that late, we got married the same day
My husband is STILL designing them, so who knows when they'll be ready

By 4 months.

I still have to send the vendors...I am working on those now.

I did my shower thank you's the day after! So I can be anal, too.

But, for the wedding I had to wait 10 weeks for my proofs, then I quickly picked the picture and told them and then had to wait another 6 weeks for the ty's. I had 5x7 cards where the picture was the front of the card (not a wallet insert where you could start the cards before getting the pictures). I then took a week to write them all out.
