When to send out Invitations??

Hi girls. I am posting this for my sister. I forget what I did.

How far in advance from the wedding did your invites go out in the mail?

And, how far before the wedding did you make the RSVP date?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think i set my RSVP for Sept 1 and my wedding was Oct 5. I wanted a lot of time and I was glad. Plus, I figure a round date like Sept 1 is easy to remember.

I sent them out a few weeks before Sept 1 ... maybe August 10 or 15? No earlier than that.
